How to read prediction market charts

Understand YES and NO probabilities, spreads, chart intervals and the limits of sampled market history.

Start with the contract

A prediction market prices a specific outcome under a defined set of resolution rules. Read the question, outcome and exchange rules together. Two similarly titled markets can resolve differently, so matching titles alone is not enough to compare them.

Read probabilities and spreads

A 60¢ price corresponds to a 60% market probability for a contract paying $1 if its outcome wins. A complementary NO price is implied as 100¢ minus YES when only one outcome token is charted. The bid is what a buyer currently offers; the ask is what a seller requests. A chart's last price is not a promise that an order of any size can fill there.

Choose an interval

One-minute bars show more detail when observations exist; longer intervals help compare broader moves. PredictionView combines venue history with its snapshot archive. Polymarket live trade bars use observed stream events. Historical price samples do not imply complete historical trade volume or executable order-book depth.

Build a useful workspace

Open a market, select Line, Area or Candles, and use Chart appearance to set the outcome colors, candle colors, grid, line width and visibility. Add indicators with their own parameters. Save a workspace while signed in to carry its configuration across devices.
